Child First Trust is proud to be launching the new, ‘Annual Child First Enterprise Challenge‘ as part of Global Entrepreneurship Week in November 2015.
Global Entrepreneurship Week is the world’s largest campaign to promote entrepreneurship. Each year, it plays a critical role in encouraging the next generation of entrepreneurs to consider starting up their own business.
From the 17th until the 23rd of November, Global Entrepreneurship Week inspires people everywhere through local, national and global activities designed to help them explore their potential as self-starters and innovators. These activities, from large-scale competitions and events to intimate networking gatherings, connect participants to potential collaborators, mentors and even investors—introducing them to new possibilities and exciting opportunities. The new Annual Child First Enterprise Challenge will be launched as part of Global Entrepreneurship Week.
All Child First Schools will be invited to participate in one of the two categories listed below and will compete for the title of ‘Global Enterprise Champion 2015’. A spectacular trophy will be awarded to the most enterprising class AND the most enterprising School.
Category 1: Key Stage 2 Enterprise Challenge- North East Essex
Category 2: Key Stage 3 Enterprise Challenge – North East Essex
The Child First Enterprise Challenge is delivered in partnership with Child First School Councils and sees each participating class being awarded a Business Loan of up to £50 to use in whichever way they decide in order to raise funds for Child First. Students must collaborate to plan their preferred way of working. A class may choose to share the grant around enabling students to work in small groups or, to work, collectively on a single project.
Each School Council is asked to nominate three Enterprise Champions from within their school – 1 teacher and 2 students. These champions will be the key link between Child First Trust and the participating school.
A sponsor for the Annual Child First Enterprise Challenge is now being sought.
